– Current and maintained NMLEA Certification in good standing.
– Yearly firearms qualifications.
– Must possess and maintain a valid, New Mexico Class D driver’s license.
– Must not have been convicted of a felony, domestic violence or any other crime involving moral turpitude.
– Must not have been convicted of a DUI within the last five years.
– Successful completion of thorough background investigation to include a successful pre-employment drug and alcohol screening with subsequent random drug and alcohol screenings.

New Mexico Corrections Department

The New Mexico Corrections Department (NMCD) Office of Professional Standards (OPS) is currently accepting applications for an INTERNAL AFFAIRS SPECIAL AGENT vacancy in the Roswell area. Salary ranges from $15.28-$26.59 per hour, depending upon education, experience and training.

The purpose of this position is to provide for administrative and criminal investigations at Correctional Facilities and divisions of the New Mexico Corrections Department across the State of New Mexico, as required, through the Office of Professional Standards. Possession and maintenance of a current or previous certification as a Law Enforcement Officer or certification by Waiver (CBW) course certification is preferred, but not required.

Minimum Requirements:
